These classroom transitions songs are available from a variety of albums.
'My Body' The original children's song 'My Body' helps children learn basic body parts and motor skills, set to the tune of the classic 'My Bonnie.' This song helps teach young children beginning dance as well as rhyming, so be sure to encourage your child to dance, sway, and sing along to this song! The Importance Learning Through Song. Songs are a great way to help anyone learn and remember, and they are an awesome tool used by teachers all over the world. An important part of any preschool classroom, singing contributes to teach behavior, basic skills, and social skills. Preschool songs also use rhymes to help children to learn vocabulary and communication skills.
These Preschool/Kindergarten songs are available from a variety of albums and teach directions, parts of the body, opposites, money, weather, clothing, telling time, adjectives, action and participation, and good behavior.

I have a couple of fun songs to help introduce today’s lesson.
The first song is called Les parties du corps/Body parts.
Let’s listen.
Now, let’s review the words heard in the song.
For best results, play the song and review the key words several times.
When your child is ready, move on to the next song.
This song is called Les parties du corps II/Body parts II.
It’s the French version of the song, Head and Shoulders, Knees and Toes.
This song is perfect for practising parts of the body.
We’re going to act out the song.
Acting out a song really helps your child quickly pick up the vocabulary and retain it.
Are you and your child all set?
Good. Then, let’s get to the song.
Next, let’s review the key words from the song.
I’m including the song lyrics to both songs below.
Now, it’s time to turn to the worksheets and put it all into practice.
In activity 1, your child will write the correct parts of the body, in French, above the matching English words.
Activity 1 focuses on the top part of the body.
As soon as your child has completed Activity 1, you can have them go ahead and complete Activity 2.
Activity 2 is similar to Activity 1, but it focuses on the lower half of the body.
Once again, your child will be asked to write the correct parts of the body, in French, above the matching English words.
We end the lesson with Activity 3.
Here, your child will write the parts of the body in French with no English support.
Good luck!
Have fun teaching French to your child!
